Isle of Dog - Stand (Up) Review

Got my Isle of Dog - Stand (Up) shampoo from Groomers. It is quite expensive, but the bottle is absolutely huge so I got a plastic empty bottle and put some in and diluted it a bit (it makes it easier to rinse... if like Nova, your dog likes water but not baths!)
After a rather muddy walk, we decided it was the perfect occasion to try the shampoo. I have to say, it smells amazing, if not a bit too strong. It foams really nicely and is not too hard to rince off (we used a diluted mix).

Tennis balls!!!

Nova loves Tennis balls... as the agility instructor says... she is food driven but ball FIXATED.
When a tennis ball is around, nothing else matter, she won't even see the other dogs or notice where she is.
She has built a reputation and has on more than one occasion retrieved for hours and hours at barbecues and tired a dozen of adults.
Given a tennis ball she will actually throw it to you (yes she can throw the ball!) until you throw it back! For our sanity, no tennis balls are in the house a...

Top tip for ears cleaning

When I wanted to clean Nova's ears, I used to need the help of Oliver and literally have to restrain Nova to the floor, desperately trying to squirt some product in her ears and wasting loads on the floor, walls... my clothes...
It sounds a bit stupid but that's how I saw it done at the vet and I thought there was no way round the fact that she hated it.
Positive training has tought me to think diferently. And here is a technique that is virtually infailable with food oriented dogs!
